Choosing the right tyres – budget vs premium

No matter how many times you have had to buy tyres in you driving journey, there are many things to take into consideration to make sure you’re making the right choice for your vehicle. One fo the main factors that may influence your decision is the price of the tyres. If you can’t decide to take the budget option or spend o something more premium, we have a few pros and cons to help your decision.

Budget tyres

Budget tyres are great! Their low cost draws us all in and they keep our car running. However, taking the budget route may not actually be the cheapest option. Budget tyres are cheaper for a reason, and although they pass all safety regulations to be sold to the public, these tyres have a much shorter lifespan. This means that you could be paying for two sets of budget tyres, or potentially even more, in the lifespan premium would have had. Not only this, but performance differences will be clear. this does not always mean that budget tyres are not a good option, especially if premium tyres are out of price range. A good driving style, like with any tyre shall increase the lifespan and allow it to last longer. Not only the but with all safety regulations passed, with regular checks your vehicle, you are still safe and able to drive.

Premium tyres

Premium tyres are designed for the best handling on the road possible. With new found technology, tyres have become a competitive marketplace. This means that each new tyre has the highest standards and best features as each manufacturer aims for improvement to be the best. The lifespan of these are significantly longer than a budget tyre as more durable rubber is used. These tyres are not made just to get you from place to place but to provide you with the best experience possible whilst doing so.
